Fishermans Bend Catalyst Site, Melbourne, Australia

Delivering a digital story for a new development in Melbourne

  • Unsigned Studio/Aurecon’s role: Digital engineering & advisory
  • Client:Victoria State Government

Unsigned Studio delivered video and imagery to describe the strategic importance and on-ground experience of a new part of central Melbourne.

Fishermans Bend is the largest urban renewal area in Australia. The Victorian State Government purchased this catalyst site to establish Australia’s leading design, engineering and technology precinct.

To publicly launch the project, Unsigned Studio worked with Development Victoria and other government agencies to produce a video and still imagery. The film articulates the diversity of uses, sustainable urban design principles and strategic importance of the project for greater Melbourne.

Studio in-house designers transformed a high-level masterplan into a convincing urban proposition, activated with the uses of a vibrant educational and commercial precinct.

Visual depictions of the different uses and spaces of the precinct are held together with a clear narrative and a graphic style, connecting the on-ground experience to the big picture of urban renewal and future-focused planning.

This work was completed by Unsigned Studio prior to joining Aurecon in March 2018.
