International design, engineering and advisory firm, Aurecon, has been appointed by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore to conduct engineering investigation studies within existing road networks at Tuas to cater for industrial developments supporting Singapore’s dominance as a global premier trade hub.
Aurecon’s study focuses on investigation and space optimisation of utility services within existing road networks over a span of approximately 17.5 kilometres to support the sustainable development of the Tuas region.

The engineering studies and site investigation works involve meticulous planning and allocation of space and routes for existing and new utilities, including telecommunications, power, gas, water, sewer systems, and more. These plans will be integrated with road infrastructure in the area.
In addition, Aurecon has been entrusted with preparing an implementation feasibility study to illustrate how these utilities can be installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently with various construction methodologies. A state-of-the-art 3D Geographic Information System (GIS) model will also be developed encompassing all utilities, road, commuter, drainage, and other infrastructures.
“The award is a testament to our extensive experience and engineering expertise in successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects in Singapore such as Jurong Region Line Contracts J102 and J109, Tuas View Basin Bridge Access, Offshore Marine Centre 2, Tuas South Staging Ground, Sengkang-Punggol Light Rapid Transit Line and the Cross Island Line Contract CR108 and many more together with our partners and clients. Our unwavering commitment to innovation and dedication in allocating adequate resources for our client has given us the competitive advantage in winning this remarkable project,” said Adrian Yeung, Technical Director, Civil at Aurecon.
“We are delighted to contribute towards the vital development of the Tuas area, serving as a pivotal force in Singapore’s relentless pursuit to maintain its eminent status as the world’s leading trade hub,” said Jean-Marc Girard, Chief Operations Officer, Asia.
Stephane Asselin, Chief Executive at Aurecon Asia added, “We are proud to have secured this project, marking our second direct engagement with LTA this year. This achievement reaffirms our commitment to excellence and showcases our ability to deliver exceptional infrastructure solutions across Asia. Furthermore, this project win further strengthens our partnership with LTA, paving the way for continued collaboration in the future.”
