Aurecon named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Companies for 10 consecutive years

International design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon has been named as one of Australasia’s most innovative companies by The Australian Financial Review, featuring in the prestigious list for a sixth year in a row.
Standing out from more than 1,000 businesses across Australia and New Zealand this year, Aurecon ranked 5th in the category of Professional Services.
According to the assessment results, Aurecon particularly excelled at quantifying its innovation efforts and aligning innovation with organisational strategy.
Central to the recognition is Aurecon’s siteLab, a collaborative digital tool that allows users to interact with built environment or infrastructure designs in real-time, experience what is proposed with 3D visualisation and provide design input via real-time data.
The innovation has proven to optimise the engineering design process with improved clarity and significantly reduced design errors. The platform brings stakeholders together to view engineering progresses, design solutions and collectively tackle challenges as they arise.
Aurecon Chief Executive Officer William Cox attributed the honour to Aurecon people across teams, who live and breathe the company’s innovative culture and implement an innovation mindset in their daily work.

“Whether simulating rail works for train drivers to test, creating a virtual bike path experience or engaging neurodiverse and ability-impaired users in designing better transport infrastructure, siteLab offers end-user involvement which hadn’t been possible until its creation,” said Dr Maher.
The competition is judged and compiled by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium and a panel of industry experts.
Assessment methodology of the Most Innovative Companies incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the “innovativeness” of organisations. The process includes written submissions and employee surveys.
The Australian Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies consist of ten industry lists of the top ten most innovative companies within each industry, praising the most innovative organisations from across industries in Australia and New Zealand. Aurecon ranked number one in the 2020 Most Innovative Companies list.
In the same month of October 2022, Aurecon was recognised as one of Hong Kong’s Most Innovative Knowledge Enterprises for a second time for its innovative approach in using enterprise knowledge to create outstanding solutions.
