13 February 2015 - Aurecon has been recognised as one of the top five building services and structural engineers in the world by the UK-based Building Design’s prestigious World Architecture 100 (WA100) global ranking of ‘Best partners’, as voted by leading global architects.

Aurecon was named a best partner and is among the top five in the ‘Service Engineer’ category which features WSP, Arup, Buro Happold and Hoare Lea. In addition, the company was also named a best partner and is among the top five in the ‘Structural Engineer’ category which features Arup, Buro Happold, WSP and Thornton Tomasetti.

“We’re very excited about both results,” comments Aurecon Managing Director – Built Environment, James Bennett. “It is hugely rewarding that our commitment to clever, inspirational engineering is truly valued by the global architecture community.”

The WA100 survey asked architects to name their ‘favourite professional associates’ based on a diverse range of key performance indicators.

Companies who demonstrate outstanding commitment to clients and best for project outcomes, shared creativity, collaboration and chemistry, ingenuity and technical expertise which enhance a concept from a design point of view rank highly.

Aurecon and other distinguished engineering firms were lauded for their ability to “see the bigger picture” and deliver projects that inspire progress and innovation.

Just some of Aurecon’s recent high profile projects include Australia’s Adelaide Oval Redevelopment and Gold Coast University Hospital, China’s Shanghai Tower, South Africa’s Mall of Africa, and New Zealand’s Eden Park all attest to the company’s visionary, progressive smarts.

“Architects and engineers share a similar ethos – that of creating structures that inspire and innovate for all people, places and spaces,” comments Bennett.

“Our engineers thrive on the creativity and zeal that is at the heart of the successful, collaborative design relationships we share with our architect partners. We rely on one another to realise ambitious, sometimes near impossible project outcomes. It is an honour that our results in the WA100 survey are reflective of this passion.”
