The nearly 20 hectare GCUH site provided unique opportunities for the design team to develop campus infrastructure that supports the new facility and the broader health and knowledge precinct.

The GCUH offers the local community a wider range of public health services than ever before. Locals enjoy new health services including: specialist cancer, cardiac, neurosciences, trauma, and neonatal intensive care in a world-class facility that integrates patient care, teaching and research.

Gold Coast University Hospital opened on the 28 September 2013. The new public health facility will deliver higher quality health care services and improved health outcomes for Australia’s growing population.
