Aurecon appoints Julie Harrison to lead communications and stakeholder engagement.

Julie said she was initially drawn to the company by its achievements in building a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

25 May 2022 – International design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon has named Julie Harrison as Managing Principal, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, to head up its communications and stakeholder engagement practice across Australia and New Zealand.

Possessing over two decades’ experience, Julie brings profound expertise in large-scale organisational transformation, people development and capability building.

With a particular focus on the water, transport and resources sectors, Julie leads Aurecon's strategic communications offerings to support clients in delivering major infrastructure projects, including change and business readiness.

Additionally, Julie will play a crucial role in optimising Aurecon’s organisational performance by improving the operating model, facilitating cultural change and providing people leadership and mentorship.

Excited about her new chapter at Aurecon, Julie said she was initially drawn to the company by its achievements in building a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, the quality and number of meaningful and impactful projects Aurecon has delivered, and the calibre and culture of Aurecon people.

“My immediate priority is to really understand the team and their capabilities, and the current client portfolio, which will form the foundation of the strategies we will build together to drive even greater client experiences and further business growth in Aurecon’s advisory practice.”

Prior to joining Aurecon, Julie had worked in multiple leadership positions in the field of organisation transformation and development, including General Manager, Organisation Development at Fortescue Metals Group, Partner at Deloitte Australia and Business Transformation lead at Fujitsu Australia.

“As one of Aurecon’s latest strategic hires, Julie will be key to continuing our business growth whilst further elevating the calibre of the work we deliver,” added Julian.
