18 October 2017 - Global engineering and infrastructure advisory company Aurecon, in partnership with the Customer Experience Company and Australian Industry Group (AI Group), is proud to bring together world renowned thought leaders from the design and business fields at the 2017 Good Design Australia ‘Design As Strategy Forum’ on 23 October in Sydney.
At this Forum, speakers from Aurecon, Nike, Deloitte, RØDE Microphones and Business Model Inc., and Australian Industry Group (AI Group) will explore the theme ‘Innovation as an object of design’ and share their strategic insight into how to use design as a means to solve complex problems, create new value, exceed customer expectations and transform business models.
Author and world renowned expert on design-led innovation Professor Roberto Verganti of Politechnico di Milano will also share insights from his new book: Overcrowded: Designing Meaningful Products in a World Awash with Ideas.
The Forum is one of the most respected design and business gatherings in the Asia-Pacific Region, and Aurecon’s Global Chief Executive Officer, Giam Swiegers, will open the proceedings as keynote speaker.

Aurecon received the highest possible honour – Good Design Award of the Year 2017 – from Good Design Australia for its revolutionary design of the Brisbane Ferry Terminals. Aurecon was also named number 5 overall in the 2017 Australian Financial Review (AFR) Most Innovative Companies list, and received the Institution of Engineers’ prestigious Brunel Medal for excellence in civil engineering for the design of the Terminals.
