Aurecon appoints new NSW leader

02 March 2017 - With a passion for leveraging diversity of thought to enhance innovation, Scott Powell has been appointed the new Regional Director – New South Wales, Australia, at global engineering and infrastructure advisory company, Aurecon. In this role, Powell will be responsible for the overall operation of the New South Wales business, including clients, projects and operational performance.

“This role is integral to the continued success of Aurecon’s Australian business, and we believe Scott will be a strong contributor to Aurecon’s regional leadership team as we help our clients traverse a changing business landscape,” says William Cox, Aurecon’s Managing Director – Australia & New Zealand.

“Scott has a strong client focus to the role, with one of his main goals being to work closely with our clients to continue to support infrastructure planning and asset management which meets the growing needs of the people of New South Wales,” Cox continues.

Powell has been with Aurecon since 1998, and is a Civil Engineer with extensive major project experience in the infrastructure sector.  This includes working with multi-disciplinary teams on award winning projects such as the Pacific Highway Upgrade, the Sydney Harbour Bridge Alliance and the Novo Rail Alliance.  

Powell’s experience is an impressive marriage of technical expertise and innovation as measured in the above award winning projects.
