Mathew Gore, Senior Consultant at Aurecon and Australian Defence Force Veteran
Many veterans have transferred seamlessly into Aurecon following their career in Defence with the guidance of our dedicated ex-serving team members and recruitment professionals applying their first-hand military experience and knowledge to support veterans and their transition into meaningful employment.
Aurecon’s Diversity Recruitment & Career’s Manager Karen Gallacher commented, “We are a proud employer of veterans and their family members and have successfully cultivated a veteran engagement program that supports, encourages, and develops employees with a defence background where we now have close to 100 people who self-identify as Defence veterans across our workforce.”
Mathew Gore, Senior Consultant, Program Performance and former member of the Australian Defence Force:
“From the beginning at Aurecon, I was made to feel welcome, and it was evident that Aurecon values the unique qualities that veterans bring to the table. The Veteran Employment program is not just about providing job opportunities, it is about establishing an environment where veterans can excel. An example of this has been the well-established Veteran network, composed of Aurecon veterans who understand the challenges veterans face in the corporate world.”
We are known as a values-led company where the Aurecon Defence Values share strong alignment with those of Defence and the values of many veterans.
