New Zealand Transport Principal Doris Stroh is the recipient of the Association of Consulting Engineers’ 2022 Presidents Award for outstanding service to the engineering and consulting sector.
The prestigious award recognises Doris’ long-standing relationship with the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE NZ), as Chair of the ACE NZ Transport Group since 2018.

In this role, Doris leads a group of Auckland-based transport professionals to engage with clients, identify opportunities and collaborate on challenges for the betterment of the sector.
Doris said it was a real honour to receive the award:
"ACE NZ has such an important role to play in bringing the industry together as we respond to challenges such as climate change, urbanisation, and skilled worker resourcing constraints.
"Over the three years I have been involved with ACE NZ, it has been gratifying to see the level of engagement with our clients improve and that clients really value the expertise and skills that consultants bring. Chief Executive Helen Davidson has brought a fresh approach that is helping position ACE NZ positively within the industry – I look forward to seeing what comes next."
The President’s Award winner is chosen by the current ACE New Zealand President Ian Fraser. Past recipients of the award are leaders of the community and game-changes in the sector, including Susan Freeman-Greene, Chief Executive of Local Government New Zealand and Aurecon New Zealand Legal Director Tristan Meo.
