Asia Pacific engineering consultancy Aurecon has won the Most Popular Engineering Employer Award for the fifth year in a row while ranking ninth overall in the 2026 Australian Financial Review & SEEK Grad Top100 Graduate Employers, announced at the annual awards ceremony in Sydney on 11 February.

Based on national student and graduate survey data, the award recognises Aurecon as the engineering employer most sought after by students, reflecting investment in its Graduate Development Program.

With Australian university degree offers for engineering increasing by 9% compared to the same time last year, interest in the profession continues to grow, making competition among employers to attract top talent stronger than ever.

Aurecon Chief People Officer Liam Hayes said that Aurecon graduates are empowered to take ownership of their careers from day one and immersed in real client projects across markets like energy, water, transport and buildings, and environment, from the very beginning.

"Aurecon graduates choose to work with us because they want to help shape a future that is optimistic, bold and human," Hayes said. "They join a culture where curiosity, collaboration, and courageous thinking are encouraged, and where every project is an opportunity to make an impact."

"The work isn't always easy, but it is rewarding, particularly with the strong foundation and experiences we provide our people to grow. Graduates are supported through bespoke learning and development, professional mentoring and pathways to chartership.

"Aurecon graduates work across a range of disciplines to build the skills, confidence and determination to solve real client challenges for some of the world's most complex issues," Hayes said.

"By investing in our graduates' development, we're not only strengthening the future capability of our business and the industries we support, but also creating an environment where they can make a meaningful difference from the very start of their career."

The fifth consecutive engineering category win and Top 10 ranking underscore Aurecon's sustained appeal in a competitive graduate employment market.

Applications for Aurecon's 2027 Graduate Program in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand open on 25 February and closes on 8 April 2026. Students and soon-to-be graduates are encouraged to apply and start their own career adventure with Aurecon.
