Louise Adams steps up to Aurecon’s Group Chief Operating Officer role

12 May 2021 – International engineering, design and advisory company Aurecon has announced the appointment of Louise Adams as its new Group Chief Operating Officer.

Supporting Chief Executive Officer William Cox, Louise will be responsible for driving the financial, operational and people performance across all areas of the business to achieve the Group’s strategic business goals.

Aurecon Chief Executive Officer William Cox said the appointment reflects Louise’s leadership in driving Aurecon’s strategy to deliver exceptional value for our clients.

“Louise is a very well-respected leader at Aurecon and has led our Australia and New Zealand business during turbulent times. In her new role as Group Chief Operating Officer, I’m confident that she will continue to deliver outstanding results and drive Aurecon’s growth.”

With over 20 years' experience as a Chartered Civil Engineer, Louise became the first female Executive Director on Aurecon’s Board in 2013 and is a passionate advocate for female leadership and equality within STEM.

Louise will continue to be a member of Australia’s Chief Executive Women’s Group, a board member on the National Advisory Board of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and the Chair to Consult Australia’s Champions of Change.

In October 2020 Aurecon was named Australasia’s most innovative company and in April 2021, Aurecon was recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Best Places to Work 2021 by the Australian Financial Review.
