International design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon recently received the Great Place to Work certification for its Philippine office, with 96 per cent of its employees saying they find the organisation promotes a positive work culture and environment.

The Great Place to Work™ certification programme uses the Trust Model survey, a global standard to help organisations quantify employee experience against insights collected from workplaces around the world.
To qualify for the certification, employees answered the survey composed of 60 questions and rated the organisation based on management, leadership, health and safety, growth and learning, opportunities, and diversity and inclusion culture.

Working for an organisation that prioritises the health, safety, and wellbeing of its people was also ranked the highest with 99 per cent of employees finding Aurecon a physically safe place to work, and 95 per cent saying the work environment at Aurecon is friendly and welcoming and encourages a culture of collaboration and fun that allows them to enjoy working as part of a team.

Global Shared Services Manager Sonny Bartido was thrilled to announce the recent milestone, “We’ve worked closely with our people over the years to provide a good workplace experience and to elevate Aurecon as an employer of choice. This recognition is a huge testament to the great culture we have built at Aurecon in the Philippines.”

“Our people have always been our greatest asset and they are the very reason for our success. So, the certification is not just a reflection of Aurecon as an organisation, this is also the reflection of our people,”
he adds.

Chief People Officer Liam Hayes echoes Mr Bartido’s sentiments, adding people experience is a significant part of Aurecon’s people and culture strategy. “People are at the heart of everything we do. By cultivating a great work environment, we enable our people to excel and be the best that they can be, which in turn delivers better results for our clients,” he says.
