Aurecon amongst New Zealand’s Top 25 Companies for career growth

Aurecon ranks in LinkedIn’s Top Companies 2022 as one of the 25 best workplaces in New Zealand.

Aurecon ranks in New Zealand as one of the 25 companies that invest in their employees and help people build long-term careers.

11 April 2022 – International design, engineering and advisory company, Aurecon has featured as one of the 25 best workplaces in New Zealand for investing in its employees and helping people build long-term careers, according to LinkedIn.

As one of the four engineering consulting firms on the list, Aurecon stood out for its strong performance in attracting and retaining talent despite the record-high attrition that was seen worldwide in 2021.

Delighted at the achievement, Tracey Ryan, Aurecon’s New Zealand Managing Director said, “At Aurecon we believe people are our greatest asset, so we invest significantly and consistently in our employees. We want to understand our people, not just from a professional perspective, but personally too. We proactively create opportunities to take their careers to the next level and for them to be recognised for the unique skills and commitment they bring.”

“For example, Aurecon’s Careers Hub offers a range of resources to help our people design a career in which they can continuously thrive and grow, and a great Learning & Development framework that supports employees to upskill no matter what stage of life they are at and when it best suits them.”

“Supporting employees in adapting to the new world of work is another key focus of ours as the nature of the workplace shifts. We strive to build a ‘place of purpose’ for our employees, where people can come together to inspire, collaborate and be creative, as we intentionally design our offices around a reduction in space required for desks to increase the space for engagement, innovation and collaboration.”

The methodology adopted by LinkedIn in identifying the top companies for career growth consists of seven pillars: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity and educational background.

Aurecon’s innovation and future-focused culture has also been formally recognised through a number of accolades recently, including:

  • Winning two Engineering New Zealand ENVI Awards in 2021 for diversity and innovation
  • Placing Top 5 in Grad New Zealand Top 100 Graduate Employers 2022
  • Winning the Engagement & Communication Excellence Award at the HeadFit Foundation Awards 2022 for our mental health awareness programme, Mind Matters
  • Recognised by Fortune on the 2021 Change the World list
