Aurecon named sovereign industry Enterprise Partner in Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise
Damon Howes says the initiative will offer Aurecon a significant opportunity to support the Australian Defence Force.
06 April 2022 – International design, engineering and advisory company, Aurecon has been appointed as one of the three Australian-based Enterprise Partners by the Department of Defence to deliver a $1 billion Sovereign Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise.
The Enterprise aims to enhance Australia’s self-reliance and supply chain resilience with a longer-term goal of developing a sovereign guided weapons manufacturing capability.
Aurecon’s role will be broadly structured around the facilities and infrastructure requirements across the Enterprise, leveraging the company’s expertise in the Defence sector.

Aurecon, along with the Australian Missile Corporation and the Sovereign Missile Alliance, will collaborate on the complex endeavour with Raytheon Australia and Lockheed Martin Australia, who are the Strategic Partners of the Enterprise.
