Located in South Brisbane, the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital brings together the staff and services of the Royal Children's Hospital and Mater Children's Hospital to provide specialist paediatric care for children from birth to 16 years of age.
Opened on 29 November, the new hospital is the single specialist children's hospital for the state of Queensland, owned and operated by Children's Health Queensland.
The hospital provides the very highest level of care to children from all over Queensland, as well as general health services to those living in the local inner-Brisbane community. It is Australia's largest and most advanced children's hospital and the single specialist paediatric referral hospital for Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
"Aurecon provided Programme and Project Management services to Queensland Health on the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, one of the largest public health projects ever undertaken in Australia," says Matthew Skeen, Expertise Leader, Health.
"After a seven challenging years, reaching the point where the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane is now open, is a huge achievement for Queensland Health and for the team at Aurecon," adds Matthew.
Professionalism, exceptional competency and palpable commitment to excellence are just some of the ways that the Chief Executive of Children's Health Queensland, Dr Peter Steer, describes Aurecon's service delivery on the AUD1.5 billion Lady Cilento Children's Hospital project in Queensland, Australia.
"We fostered an outstanding client relationship and investment in service excellence through Aurecon’s team working on Lady Cilento Children's Hospital project. Congratulations must go to Project Directors Matt Skeen and Graeme McKenzie and the entire team for delivering this complex and challenging project," said Susie Pearn, Global Health Business Leader.
