Aurecon’s Louise Adams has been appointed to the inaugural Advisory Board of the ASEAN-Australia Centre by the Australian Government to further strengthen people, trade and investment links with Southeast Asian nations.
Louise is one of 11 individuals from leading industry, government and academia across Australia appointed to the board, as announced by Senator and Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Penny Wong.

Aurecon Chief Operating Officer Louise Adams said she was honoured to have been selected and is looking forward to unlocking further potential between the regions as part of the Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
“The next two decades are certainly an exciting time as Southeast Asia undergoes rapid phases of development and the region becomes a destination of choice as countries look to diversify supply chains,” Adams said.
“In my role as Australia’s Business Champion to Vietnam, I have seen first-hand the benefits from working with governments and the private sector to share insights on commercial opportunities and challenges, and it will be fantastic to collaborate in this area more broadly through the ASEAN-Australia Centre Advisory Board.
“Collaboration is critical to achieve greater impact and there are plenty of exciting opportunities for Australia and Southeast Asian nations to mutually benefit.”
The ASEAN-Australia Centre is designed to strengthen people-to-people links, increase ties with national cultural institutions, support emerging leaders and drive business engagement as part of the Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
Louise is also the Australian Government’s Business Champion for Vietnam, appointed by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to support trading relationships with Southeast Asia.
