Underpinning Aurecon’s outstanding performance in graduate employment is its graduate program. The graduate program is designed to provide graduates with a map that can help them navigate where they want their career to go, with support right along the way. Our program provides graduates with the head start they need to become a professional who is ready for the future.

Thrilled to receive the coveted award, Rebecca Sheridan, Early Careers Recruitment Manager at Aurecon said:

“At Aurecon, we believe in creating a supportive and inclusive work environment where young professionals can thrive, innovate, and make a meaningful impact. This recognition reaffirms our dedication to nurturing and developing the future talent of our industry. Our Early Careers Program are constantly evolving to allow graduates the flexibility to carve their own career journey aligned to their values and passions and Aurecon’s design, engineering and advisory capabilities.”

Speaking of the early careers market, Rebecca said it was highly competitive due to various factors that contributed to the demand for talent and the scarcity of skilled individuals.

“Compared with students in other disciplines, students in engineering exhibit a more targeted approach to job applications, concentrating on sectors such as mining and engineering consulting. With a growing number of graduate roles in the market, there is heightened competition in attracting the specialised talent. To continue to succeed in this dynamic landscape, Aurecon must sustain its competitive advantage in recruiting and retaining top engineering graduates.”

Internship opportunities focused on sustainability at Aurecon have proven to be highly sought after, attracting those who are motivated to gain experience and make a meaningful impact delivery sustainable solutions and outcomes.

"We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive work environment where young professionals can thrive, innovate, and make a meaningful impact."

Recognising the growing importance of sustainable energy solutions, Aurecon has increased its intake of graduates within the energy sector compared to previous years.

“By welcoming more graduates with expertise and passion for the energy sector, we are strengthening our ability to deliver innovative solutions that drive positive change in the field of energy and sustainability,” explained Rebecca.

The methodology adopted by The Australian Financial Review is driven by data, including data from submitted applications, page views, and graduate reviews, whereby graduate employer popularity is determined by the number of applicants they attract.

“Early careers recruitment plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Aurecon. Having the right talent in our workforce helps us better collaborate with our clients and communities to tackle rapid change and disruption, ultimately to bring ideas to life for a better future for people and the planet.”
