Paul Hardy, Global CEO of Aurecon, says “Aurecon was created in a merger of three renowned engineering consultancies in March 2009 and this move in the ENR rankings confirms for us that our strategy is working and that our clients are benefiting from the merger.”
The merger between Africon, Connell Wagner and Ninham Shand, produced a global group with significant capacity and skills in a range of market sectors and with a footprint spanning many countries. Paul Hardy added, “Our expanded geographical reach helped us diversify our risk during the world-wide economic downturn and allowed us to leverage resources, skills and business networks previously unavailable to each of us. I am sure next year’s survey will show even greater progress as a result.”
The Engineering News-Record (ENR) is a weekly magazine which provides news, analysis and data for the construction industry worldwide. ENR ranks the largest contractors and design firms in the U.S. and internationally annually.
Aurecon’s expanded skills base and office network has allowed the group to offer improved service delivery capabilities and enabled it to capitalise on many large, integrated, cross-border project opportunities.
“Aurecon’s focus will continue to be on enhancing the communities in which we live and work and maintaining our level of client service excellence," Hardy added.
