Evelyn Storey is Aurecon’s Managing Director for Queensland, responsible for the leadership and performance of the Queensland business including health & safety, client engagement, staff engagement, project and financial performance.
Graduating from Imperial College in London in 1986 with a degree in Civil Engineering, Evelyn is an experienced structural engineer and Design Director and has successfully led multi-disciplinary design teams for complex and award-winning buildings in both Australia and the UK.
Most recently, Evelyn has been appointed to the newly created role of Director, Sustainability, responsible for embedding sustainability thinking and outcomes into core project practice at Aurecon.
Evelyn is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Directors. Evelyn served on the Board of the BPEQ, the government regulator for professional engineering services in Queensland, as Director and Deputy Chair for six years from 2016 to 2022. Evelyn is currently Chair of the Structural College Board of Engineers Australia and a member of the Advisory Board for CIBSE Australia.
