Garth Rowland – Structures
Garth has extensive experience in the design and supervision of a variety of stadia and long span structures including work on Adelaide Oval, Bankwest Stadium, Marvel Stadium and the World Cup stadium in Qatar. Garth’s experience and understanding through his research work focusses on the stadium experience and how innovative and effective engineering can support that experience for the fan, player and operator.

Peter Ayres – Structures
Peter leads Aurecon’s global structures capability as well as being Managing Director, Built Environment, Asia. He is a structural engineer and multidisciplinary team leader who has delivered a range of highly technical international projects, from the world’s first ever fully relocatable Antarctic research base to world class sports venues and transport hubs in Russia, Brazil, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Peter Mathieson – Environmental modelling and sustainable design
With vast experience, Peter is a modelling and sustainable design specialist, with experience in daylighting design and technology, productivity analysis and post occupancy evaluation. Peter's specialty is in the design of buildings for improved indoor environmental quality.

Stephen Logan – Mechanical
Stephen is a building sciences expert with over two decades of experience in designing solutions that delivers complex operational requirements whilst striving to achieve great architecture, engineering and of course, great spaces.

Ben Hattersley – Security
Ben has been involved in the security industry for a period exceeding 20 years and has demonstrated expertise in security operations management, security risk management and security management consulting. He specialises in the design of targeted security strategies that align with the strategic objectives of both public and private sector client organisations.

Mark Sheldon – Structures
Mark has, for over 30 years’ experience in the specialised design of stadia and leisure-related projects both in Australia and internationally. This experience has been ‘hands-on’, with him spending approximately five years full-time on the Melbourne Cricket Grounds, and approximately four and a half years on Etihad Stadium. He is currently Project Director on the design of extensions to the Melbourne Park tennis centre.

Matt Magraith – Electrical
With more than 18 years’ experience within Aurecon and the construction industry, Matt has extensive experience leading multi-discipline projects. His major projects include commercial buildings/workplaces, airports, data centres, retail precincts and stadia. Matt's key role lies in project leadership across all disciplines of building engineering, with particular interest in building innovation, automation, lighting and sustainable design.
