Asian Mineral Resources Limited (AMR) is developing the Ban Phuc Nickel Mine Project – an underground mine using modern mechanised equipment that will feed a process plant incorporating conventional sulphide flotation technology for the production of a Ni-Cu rich concentrate.
Located 300 km north-west of Hanoi in the Son La Province the project is the only one of its kind in Vietnam. As one of the few remaining high-grade, near-term nickel sulphide projects, the Ban Phuc Nickel Project represents a unique platform to develop a significant nickel industry in Vietnam.
The local Aurecon team is providing electrical and, control and instrumentation design, programming of the plant control system (including programmable logic controller and human machine interface) as well as engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) and commissioning services for the process plant, slurry line to the tailings dam, and the underground mine.
