Video transcript

Ken: After 30 years of working in the complex projects space, in both oil and gas, and mining and minerals, in my career the greatest ingredient, the hardest ingredient, but also the one that sort of guarantees success is the people. And the ability to glue together teams, not just, project delivery teams, but teams that are connected to our clients, teams that are connected to our client assets, creating an environment or a team environment that's harmonious, and allows our people, all people associated with a complex project to sort of get on and work together. That's what really I'm passionate about, and I enjoy when I come to work is sort of trying to play that glue role and pull those teams together.

And it's quite interesting in the market at the moment. We're seeing here at Aurecon lots of, and having really good, conversations with our clients around creating, programmes and, certainly, ecosystems to really foster that team building process. But not just building it as us, as an engineering service provider or a project delivery provider, but building that environment and that ecosystem with the client, and as I said before, the asset.

Ultimately, we need to ensure that the ultimate customer, which is the asset operator or the asset owner, is engaged and involved in all of the key decisions as we find that we're partnering more and more with our customers in some of these large projects, and certainly large programmes, our clients are requiring more continuity with our staff, which is great because that's what we'd like as well. And the connection to the asset, so, allowing our customers to have comfort and confidence that the teams that we're building with them are connected to the asset, and have great knowledge of the asset.

Because, you know, for their business, and for the value that we want to bring to their business, having teams that are connected and understand the asset really well is certainly beneficial. I see that that really is the success to a successful programme with our customers in today's market.
