Graduate and internship programmes to design a better future

Those who dare to explore new frontiers step from the impossible into the possible.

They challenge the status quo. They’re unconventional. They ask what if? What’s next? And why not? And they have fun along the way.

From advising on the world’s largest lithium-ion battery to store renewable energy. To using digital technology to plan and restore transport access to communities after major earthquakes. To designing Australia’s tallest engineered timber office building where people are at the heart of the design.

If you choose to work with us, you’ll have the flexibility, choice and freedom to be you – so that together, we can re-imagine engineering and design a better future for humanity. Answers to the world’s most complex challenges are out there. All that’s needed is to start exploring new frontiers today.

In 2019, Aurecon was honoured to win the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR's) Top 100 Graduate Employers ‘Most Popular Engineering and Resources Employer Award’ and ranked #4 in AFR's Most Innovative Companies Professional Services list. We were also listed in LinkedIn's Top Companies for the second year in a row, the only engineering consulting firm to make the list.

Make sure you include details about:

    • Work experience
    • Education
    • Extracurricular activities
  • 2

    Screening process

Our team of recruiters review each application form, cover letter and CV thoroughly. They consider a variety of aspects such as academic achievements, relevant work experience, extracurricular activities or volunteer work as well as evidence of the Aurecon Attributes.

Recruiters narrow down the selection of applicants and provide a shortlist of CVs to hiring managers for review.

  • 3

    Interview and assessment

If you are successfully shortlisted, depending on your location, you will be invited for an interview and / or an assessment centre.

At this point, it’s a good idea to start thinking about:

    • The reasons you want to join Aurecon
    • Which sector or business unit you’re most interested in and think you’re most suited to
    • Any work experience or previous study you’ve done that is relevant to that sector
  • 4

    Offer of employment

If you are successful – congratulations!

You will receive a telephone call from our recruiters to talk you through everything you need to know about joining Aurecon. You will then receive all relevant documentation, including a visual contract, via email.

We keep in touch with all our applicants throughout the process, so you’re up to date on your application’s progress.

If you have any queries, send us a direct message via our Facebook page and one of our recruitment team will get back to you.
