Tracey has dedicated her career to driving business growth, spearheading multi-disciplinary teams, and fostering inclusive and engaged cultures. She has held senior leadership roles and directorships in several global professional services companies, with extensive professional networks both gained from working in Aotearoa New Zealand, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Pacific Rim, China and the US.

"I strongly believe a systems-wide approach across the public and private sectors is required to help solve some of these complex issues."

“With a public infrastructure deficit of approximately $104bn on top of the challenges of climate change and the need for Aotearoa New Zealand to get to net zero by 2050, there are some extremely complex issues facing the infrastructure sector,” said Tracey.

“I strongly believe a systems-wide approach across the public and private sectors is required to help solve some of these complex issues. To do this, we need collaboration across Infrastructure New Zealand, government, Te Waihanga Infrastructure Commission, the Construction Sector Accord and the private sector.”

Tracey’s role as co-chair of the Construction Sector Accord will also play a vital part in supporting those connections.

“The construction and infrastructure sectors make up 6 per cent of Aotearoa New Zealand’s GDP and it goes without saying that the success of our sector contributes significantly to our economy. There has never been a more important time to come together to make Aotearoa New Zealand a better place for everyone,” she continued.

Tracey was first elected to the Infrastructure New Zealand Board in 2018 and became Deputy Chair in 2021. She is also Co-Chair to The Construction Sector Accord’s Steering Group, and Chair of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Sustainable Development Committee.
