This award was presented by the Lighthouse Club in Hong Kong on 14 March 2014.
Aurecon’s Country Manager for Hong Kong, Macau and China, Ben Coxon said, “ We are very proud to accept this award on behalf of Aurecon in recognition of our leadership in safety. It was both humbling and gratifying to have Aurecon’s safety culture recognised by our industry peers. At Aurecon, every employee takes personal responsibility for safety on a daily basis, whether in their personal conduct or in project delivery.”
In the Award, Aurecon was cited for its “…commitment to go beyond the expectations of clients and improve health, safety and well-being for construction workers with a holistic approach and strong, demonstrated leadership.”
In their presentation to the panel of judges, Aurecon highlighted their in-house Safe Design principles and the pivotal role it plays in delivering projects safely. To illustrate safety-in-action, Aurecon presented how they collaborated closely with clients on projects to identify and address safety issues from design phase to construction.
