Engineering New Zealand President’s Medal
– Winner: Fulton-Downer Gold Medal
Master of his craft and Technical Director Stephen Jenkins was awarded the 2019 Fulton-Downer Gold Medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the engineering profession. An Engineering New Zealand Fellow, he has served for the past seven years as Chair of the Competency Assessment Board (CAB). Under his leadership, CAB introduced new systems and streamlined the application processes.
Stephen is a member of Engineering New Zealand’s Professional Development Advisory Committee and has represented the body on International Engineering Alliance panels, reviewing competence assessment processes and standards in Peru and Australia. He has also presented professional development courses on behalf of both Engineering New Zealand and the International Association of Consulting Engineers.
