Aurecon, along with client Lendlease and architect, Bates Smart brought Australia’s tallest and largest engineered timber office building, 25 King, to life.

Attracting a plethora of industry awards to date, 25 King was inspired by the environmental benefits and versatility of timber. The engineered timber used has a lower carbon footprint than traditional building materials and was sourced from certified sustainably-managed forests. It also allowed for precise offsite prefabrication and safer onsite construction.

In addition to its innovation and 6-star Green Star sustainability achievements, 25 King exemplifies Aurecon’s key design principle that puts its people at the heart of the design. In early 2020, it achieved WELL Core and Shell Certification at the Platinum level; WELL being the leading tool for advancing health and wellbeing in buildings globally.
