We cannot survive without innovation

Engineers are hard-wired to innovate and problem solve, and never before have our problems been as wicked or complex as they are today.

The COVID-19 pandemic triggered unprecedented disruption and uncertainty across the world. It meant we all had to change the way we live and work very rapidly in order to survive. We had to stay apart yet come together. We had to cooperate, collaborate and adapt in ways we never thought possible. We had to innovate through adversity.

If the COVID-19 pandemic taught us anything, it is we cannot survive without innovation. It showed us that we can be incredibly resilient and creative. In some ways it brought out the very best in people and that is what we celebrate in this collection of industry awards – our people and projects awarded by our peers, as the very best.
