Aurecon Industry Awards 2018

Strongest Aurecon Attribute: Unconventional thinker

Australian Financial Review BOSS Magazine

– Young Executives 2017

I love to challenge the status quo and try new things that differentiate Aurecon.

After being shortlisted from 100 nominations to 10 finalists, I had to face a rigorous panel of heavyweight business leaders and participate in a gruelling ‘CEO for a day’ simulation exercise to test my ability to run an organisation. Applying my unconventional thinker attribute enabled me to differentiate myself in how I looked at running a business. Applying an unconventional thinker lens to our people practices enables Aurecon to differentiate itself, which is critical as people practices have never been as important as they are now.

I was thrilled and honoured to be named one of six winners of the Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine’s Young Executives 2017. The award recognises the importance of having a focus on ‘human-centric’ leadership in running organisations today. We’re entering a period of dramatic change in which it will take a very different toolkit of skills to thrive in a globally disrupted marketplace and HR leaders will play an important role in helping organisations navigate this change successfully.
