The new Coca-Cola production facility in Gotche Street, Bloemfontein, was designed to replace the existing, outdated facility in order to accommodate the growing demand for Coca-Cola products throughout South Africa.
Aurecon was engaged to design and supervise the construction of the new facility as well as oversee the upgrade of the current holding facility, including the mechanical and electrical services. In addition, Aurecon provided architectural services through a sub-contractor.
The new facility incorporates a 6000m² building, access roads, fencing, and electrical and mechanical equipment.
Aurecon adopted an integrated design approach to meet our client’s requirements which proved to be a more cost effective due to the group’s use of in-house resources to complete the site production process. Drawings were produced for bulk services, piling, platforms, earthworks, road works, fire and water reticulation, effluent and sewer reticulation, stormwater reticulation, fencing, and building structures.
The result: Aurecon designed a functional facility in keeping with our clients’ requirements and which reflects the quality of the Coca-Cola brand.
