Aurecon participated in a three year agreement to deliver a complete range of education and training services to Power and Water Corporation (PWC). This included accredited and industry focused courses in transmission and distribution, electro-technology and generation disciplines.
Aurecon’s role involved sourcing, brokering and providing training and development activities on behalf of PWC for all staff across all disciplines, streams and qualification levels. This included designing and delivering or brokering training in a variety of modes, in addition to providing learner support and customising support and assessment materials for National Accredited Training Packages (VET), and non-accredited training. Aurecon also developed assessment tools to enable PWC to assess non-technical skills.
We provided a comprehensive package of workforce assessment and training to assist PWC to achieve the milestones outlined in the organisation’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
Aurecon tailored training to suit PWC requirements and assisted in the development of new high voltage authorisation courses. Where possible, training was delivered at worksites so employees could engage directly with PWC equipment and facilities.
This project received two prestigious awards:
2007 – PWTS Runner Up, Northern Territory Training Initiative
2008 – Aurecon – Winner, Northern Territory Training Provider of the Year
