Post flood reconstruction work in Queensland, Australia
With a large proportion of the State disaster declared, a consequence was extensive damage to infrastructure, primarily transport infrastructure.
Aurecon supported the Queensland Government, as well as various local Councils, in comprehensively assessing the scale and nature of damage, designing remediation solutions and providing the cost estimates for these solutions. This involved extensive site inspections and the use of geographic information system applications to map affected areas and sites. In some instances these were compiled into applications for Australian Government reconstruction funding.
