Asset specific replacement strategies and asset management plans for SA Power Networks, Australia

Aurecon was engaged by SA Power Networks to develop strategies for the maintenance and replacement of underground cables, conductors and substation transformers in their distribution network within a tight timeframe.

Aurecon reviewed existing information, replaced the strategy framework development and conducted assessments of asset age and condition - this then triggered the development of an asset failure rate methodology and replacement cost estimates.

An asset specific CAPEX model for the 2015-2024 period was also developed – all of which was incorporated into class specific Asset Management Plans in IMM (2011) format.

Drawing from extensive and specialised asset management expertise, Aurecon was able to effectively develop maintenance and replacement strategies along with comprehensive Asset Management plans within the desired timeframe.
