4 November 2013 - Aurecon’s acoustic and vibration experts will talk buildings, transport, resources and utilities at the upcoming Australian Acoustical Society Conference, 17 – 20 November. Held at Victor Harbour, South Australia, Aurecon’s Neil Mackenzie, Yong-Keat Lee, Bill Dawson, Jason Gaekwad, Akil Lau, Fiona Parr and Heath Miller , will be joined by a diverse range of Australian and international field experts and professionals at the annual event.
Dr Neil Mackenzie, Technical Director, Building Sciences said: “Aurecon’s team has developed world class expertise since commencing in 2006, with this conference the second time in eight years we have been a major contributor. Our expertise can be applied across all of our industries, with our papers presenting work in the property, transport, construction, resources and communications & utilities industries. The projects cover bridges, stadia, data centres, mining, wind farms and courts.”
Themed ‘Science, Technology and Amenity’, the focus of the conference will be to explore the impact of science and technology on acoustics and amenity through a series of presentations and workshops. The conference will also address a broader range of topics including, Airport/Road/Railway noise, underwater acoustics, marine bioacoustics, and vibration.
