07 March 2011 - Aurecon is proud to sponsor the welcome function and provide technical insight at the 14th Australasian Tunnelling Conference 2011, on 8-10 March 2011 in Auckland, New Zealand.
Never before held in New Zealand, the event will attract international keynote presenters who will be speaking on current and relevant topics related to this year’s theme ‘Development of Underground Space’.
“Tunnelling is an evolving industry, we are seeing improvements in Tunnel Boring Machine technology, advances in analysis techniques and tightening environmental requirements," said Dr Harry Asche, Aurecon’s Tunnelling Technical Leader who will be presenting at the conference.
Many recent case studies will also be featured, providing insight into recent experiences and issues successfully addressed through state-of-the-art technologies and innovations. Aurecon will present papers about the design and construction of major rail and water tunnels in New Zealand and Australia.
