Walter Nxumalo confirmed as eThekwini Office Manager

22 March 2017 - Walter Nxumalo is looking forward to the challenges of his new position as the Office Manager for Aurecon’s eThekwini Office. Effective from 1 February, Walter had previously been serving in this role on an interim basis.

A registered professional engineer with more than 16 years of postgraduate experience, Nxumalo obtained a diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Blackburn College of Technology and a Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Newcastle University, both in the United Kingdom.

Nxumalo joined the eThekwini office as an electrical engineer in March 2012. Since then, he has been a Project Leader on a number of key electrical infrastructure projects in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga involving the improvement of switch rooms, upgrading of power lines, and establishment of major interconnector cables, as well as the design of upgrades for overloading LV transformer zones.
