2017 Property Council of Australia/RLB Innovation & Excellence Awards
17 February 2017 - The Property Council of Australia has recognised global engineering and infrastructure advisory company Aurecon, in the 2017 Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards list of finalists.
The awards are one of the most prestigious property awards programmes in Australia and aim to showcase superior examples of iconic projects in property development and investment across a broad range of sectors and design disciplines.
This year, Aurecon has been shortlisted in the Diversity category, and as part of the Novo Rail Alliance (Transport for NSW in partnership with Aurecon, Laing O’Rourke and RCR Infrastructure O’Donnell Griffin), in the Project Innovation category for the Wynyard Station upgrade.
“We are honoured to be named a finalist for these prestigious awards. We believe they recognise the innovative client solutions that our development of an inclusive and diverse workforce has enabled us to create,” said Liam Hayes, Aurecon’s Chief People Officer. “Our Diversity and Inclusion Programme forms an integral part of the company’s future-ready strategy.”
The Property Council’s announcement follows Aurecon’s recent success in winning the 2016 Australian Human Resources Institute Inclusive Workplace Award, which came less than a week after also winning Engineers Australia’s highest honour: The Sir William Hudson Award for the company’s revolutionary Brisbane's Flood Recovery Ferry Terminals.
This recognition provides further confirmation that Aurecon’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is a winning approach to becoming a more innovative organisation providing unique solutions to clients’ challenges.
“To be future ready for Aurecon means being innovative and skilled at providing creative client solutions. Innovation thrives in inclusive cultures where inspirational leaders motivate diverse teams. Aurecon’s diversity and inclusion strategy encompasses a broad range of leadership led initiatives aimed at ‘turning the dial’ on the inclusion of a diverse talent pool,” said Abbie Wright, Aurecon’s Diversity and Inclusion Manager.
Winners of the 2017 National Awards will be announced at the Property Council of Australia/Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation & Excellence Awards on 5 May 2017.
