Aurecon brings bridges to life

Gateway Bridge, Queensland

03 April 2017 - Aurecon’s bridge engineering specialists are set to share expert knowledge through a record number of papers that will be presented at the Austroads Bridges Conference to be held at the Pullman Melbourne in Albert Park, from 3 – 6 April 2017.

As well as showcasing expertise through impressive current projects, the team will be demonstrating their forward thinking by placing themselves at the heart of future trends. Attendees are invited to join Aurecon in the booth to discuss past and current projects, digital engineering and how future trends will influence the way design, build and manage our future assets.

Themed, ‘Bridges: Connecting Communities’, the four day conference is the pre-eminent event in the region and Aurecon’s strong contingent of bridge engineers aim to provoke discussion around a number of topics including bridge management strategies, innovative bridge construction and new bridge technology.

“I am very proud of the global Aurecon bridges team in producing such a high standard of technical papers. We have had a record number of technical presentations accepted with authorship from Aurecon bridge engineers based in the Middle East, South Africa, Asia, New Zealand and most offices in Australia.

“Our topics range from new innovative bridge girders, through new advances in precast segmental viaducts, to iconic pedestrian bridges, and the digital evolution of bridge management systems”, said John Hilton, Global Service Leader Bridges & Civil Structures.
