SBEnrc is a key research broker between industry, government and research organisations.
20 August 2014 - Aurecon has joined the Sustainable Built Environment national research centre (SBEnrc) as a core partner.
The SBEnrc is a key research broker between industry, government and research organisations servicing the built environment industry. It runs three research programme streams focusing on environment, social and economic sustainability, identified by national industry stakeholders as the areas that will drive productivity and development in the built environment industry.
Aurecon will sit on the governing board of the SBEnrc and will gain access to a wealth of knowledge that will ensure Aurecon and its clients remain at the forefront of industry innovation and best practice.
As the broadest built environment research alliance in the country, the core members of SBEnrc include John Holland Group, Aurecon, the Western Australian, Queensland and New South Wales Governments, Curtin University, Swinburne University and Griffith University.
“It was a logical choice to join SBEnrc as a core member. This will help us ensure our business practices are constantly challenged and improved through the unique innovation network offered through SBEnrc’s national and international linkages,” said David Radcliffe, Aurecon’s Industry Director - Transport.
“We are eager to get involved in research that is going to be innovative and help shape how the industry at large plans, designs and delivers for the future,” added David.
Aurecon will be involved in a number of projects that will include:
Practical BIM application on Infrastructure Projects, and
Driving whole-of-life efficiencies through BIM and Procurement
