Fast-tracking project development and commercialising large scale solar
11 February 2013 - Blair Walter, Aurecon’s Renewable Energy Leader will be sharing his insights on solar development in South Africa at the 3rd Annual Solar Power Summit being held on 19-20 February 2013 in Brisbane.
Aurecon is a silver sponsor of the conference, which is themed ‘fast-tracking project development and commercialising large scale solar’.
“South Africa has created a vibrant renewable energy market through a well-structured IPP (Independent Power Producer) procurement programme,” says Blair.
The South African government has awarded contracts for 1 415 MW of wind and solar capacity through its renewable energy procurement programme and Aurecon is playing a leading role in ensuring the successful realisation of six of these projects, in the capacity of Owner’s Engineer (OE) and Balance of Plant Design Engineer.
