Organised by the Railway Technical Society of Australasia, the two day conference takes leading rail industry experts on a technical journey of ‘Global Perspectives’ across four areas: rail and civil infrastructure, wheel rail interface, energy and operation, and rail business.

About Troy Burton
Technical Director, Transport Services
Troy Burton is a chartered civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the private sector, with substantial experience in the project/design management and delivery of large multi-disciplined civil infrastructure projects, including rail, road and large bridges. Troy is a Technical Director Transport based in Aurecon’s Brisbane office. In this role Troy leads major rail infrastructure projects and provides high level and technical advice to a range of transport clients.

A Chartered Traction and Rolling Stock Engineer with over 14 years of experience in the rail industry, in both consulting and manufacturing, in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the UK and the USA. Chris is highly experienced in strategic planning and rolling stock procurement and refurbishment, applying global industry best practice to tailor the right solution for each client, for the right price.
About Michael Gardiner
3D Visualisation Leader, Transport
Michael has degrees in both Animation and CAD drafting, and over seven years of experience producing visualisations for engineering projects across a wide range of disciplines. Michael leads the 3D Visualisation team within Aurecon and is dedicated to furthering the use of 3D modelling and animation techniques in the engineering field for the purpose of design, consultation and presentation.
