Aurecon appointed to prestigious hotel project in the Middle East
19 September 2012 - Aurecon has been appointed to supply multidisciplinary engineering services for the design of a prestigious, luxury five star hotel in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Aurecon will provide services across a range of disciplines including: structural and civil engineering; facade engineering; mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering; fire and life safety consultancy; IT, security and audio visual engineering; traffic and parking; acoustic engineering and building maintenance unit design.
The entire project comprises a total of 62 800 square metres of build up area, including common areas, the 180 room hotel and branded residences. The design phase is scheduled to complete in July 2013, with construction completion indicated for 2015.
The delivery of the project will incorporate a global team led by Aurecon’s Dubai office, with support coming from Aurecon offices and delivery centres in Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Cape Town and Gauteng, to name a few.
The project is an important win for Aurecon in the Middle East that will see us partner again with DSA Architects to deliver the major project.
