29 February 2012 - Aurecon has appointed Neil Proud as Ports Leader, Transport Services to lead and expand Aurecon’s established and award winning bulk handling ports design capability into the shipping container and general cargo market sectors.
David Ness, Aurecon Service Group Leader, Transport Services said: “Neil’s expertise and experience in the planning and operation of cargo and container terminals will assist clients to access Aurecon’s extensive port and marine design skills with the added confidence of knowing our entire team fully understands the practical operational requirements of a commercial port site.”
Neil is a civil engineer with experience in the planning, design and construction of transport infrastructure, civil and building projects. He has worked and resided abroad in countries including the USA, South Korea, Panama, Burma, China, Vietnam and Singapore.
Prior roles have required Neil to interact with global leaders of business and government, and represent owners, consultants and contractors on large multi-disciplinary, complex and challenging projects in Australia and around the world.
“My passion lies within the container ports arena where I can utilise my experience to successfully plan and deliver major projects with a point of difference that satisfies client requirements,” Neil said.
