Aurecon goes for gold at AusRAIL PLUS 2011

Ken Devencorn

07 November 2011 - Aurecon, a leader in the planning, design and delivery of transportation systems and logistics solutions, will be presenting at AusRAIL PLUS 2011 on 22-24 November 2011.

As Gold Sponsor, Aurecon will be hosting booth 129 and presenting four papers:

Ken Devencorn, Aurecon Rail Leader said, “AusRAIL is a great opportunity to learn from the industry and share our own rail experience in passenger, logistics, light rail and freight.”

The conference will focus on ‘Innovation and Customer Relations’ to inspire the industry to develop innovative and progressive ways to meet growing demand for freight movement and passenger journeys.

“Rail continues to be a vibrant field of engineering that has its own unique problems. The industry needs to work collaboratively to provide solutions to suit increased activity in the rail sector,” says Devencorn.

Rail is a favourable answer to many of Australia’s transport problems. It is a crucial part of improving Australia’s freight productivity and is considerably more efficient and safer than road transport. Passenger and light rail solutions can also assist in relieving road congestion in metropolitan areas.

“High quality transport such as light rail is quieter, efficient, less intrusive than buses or heavy rail and can stimulate economic activity along the transport route. We need to stay ahead of the population growth and need to move large volumes of people without putting more pressure on roads,” added Devencorn.

Aurecon has a multi-disciplinary and highly skilled team contributing to the efficient movement of freight, goods and people across Australia and globally.

“We will continue to grow relationships and work with clients to understand the needs of users to deliver premier design solutions,” says Devencorn.
