The Ozwater 2011 conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, South Australia, with a theme of 'Water for Health: Towards Sustainable Practices'.
Aurecon has a strong technical and branding presence at Ozwater 2011, with water and environment experts Luke Toombes, Paul Campbell and Mpho Ramphao presenting technical papers. Aurecon is also sponsoring the Infrastructure Innovation Award which will be presented at the Ozwater gala dinner.
“Our commitment to the Ozwater Conference is both strong and ongoing. We see this event as a vital opportunity to share knowledge and ideas, and interact with colleagues from across our industry,” said William Yong, Aurecon’s Industry Leader - Water.
“The water cycle is a complex system that has been strained by the progress of society. The sustainable management of our water resources is an increasingly important challenge for engineers and scientists, and arguably requires the greatest focus among all natural resources,” added William.
“Over the past 12 months, we have further strengthened our already highly skilled water services offering through a number of senior appointments, by developing alliances with academic and research bodies and capacity building through relationships with other expert consultants.”
Aurecon’s focus on delivering sustainable water outcomes for clients is recognised across the industry. Projects include major assessments of river systems and networks, developing a specialised water quality team, undertaking investigations to develop innovative sewer mining and stormwater recycling systems and further developing our flood mapping and disaster response capability.
“We understand the increasing responsibilities and demands of the marketplace to provide high standards of quality and customer service to all water industry stakeholders including local, state and federal government and authorities as well as private sector clients and being at Ozwater is a great opportunity to do just that,” said William.
