14 January 2011 - Our thoughts are with the people of Queensland, Australia as the state reels from this national disaster.
As Queenslanders count the cost of devastating flooding across the state, our Region Leader in South Queensland Chris Lawson and his team continue to monitor the situation, reach out to our people, and manage our facilities and operations as best they can.
Aurecon staff have already offered their services to various organisations to address pending issues and recovery efforts and are assisting clients facing critical issues. Aurecon will make a substantial corporate donation to the State Flood Appeal this week.
Our Brisbane office will open tomorrow and staff who are assisting clients with critical issues will be available. Our other offices across Australia and Asia Pacific are providing support where our Queensland staff are unable to respond due to the impact of the flooding.
To our colleagues in Brisbane and Toowomba, please do not attempt to come to work on Friday if this might in any way be unsafe or if your usual route or means of transport have been affected by the flooding.
Aurecon has been utilising its new Facebook page to communicate information during this crisis. We will be posting further information as we receive it on both Facebook and the intranet.
Best wishes to our clients and colleagues in Queensland, all at Aurecon are ready to help in any way we can, please do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
Stay safe,
Paul
