10 May 2010 - Aurecon is pleased to announce a merger whereby AKi (previously Axis and KAYP), a Johannesburg and Cape Town based engineering consultancy, will merge its operations with Aurecon as of the 1st of May 2010.
This integration mirrors continued efforts to increase the skills base and capacity within our organisation. The combination will unite two market leaders in the field who will, together, be uniquely positioned to provide our clients with an even more comprehensive set of solutions.
Founded in 1954, AKi is a full-service consulting engineering company practising in the fields of structural and civil engineering, as well as engineering geology. They are well known in industry for their involvement in past projects such as the Sun City and Lost City developments. The addition of AKi’s proven skill to Aurecon’s existing service offering will both strengthen and consolidate Aurecon’s position as an industry leader, particularly in the building engineering environment.
