Eduard is a passionate leader and specialist in Aurecon’s Africa business; passionate about Aurecon, passionate about staff and team and passionate about bringing value to the work he does and the clients Aurecon serves.
Eduard is a Client Director and geotechnical engineer, responsible for a portfolio of clients in the mining and petrochemical environment in Africa and the Middle East. Eduard and his team understand that success only comes from deeply integrated teams to ensure client value. These positions provide him with a unique perspective of the operational, strategic and work winning aspects of Aurecon.
He is a member of the Civil Engineering Advisory Board for the University of Pretoria, a past Director of the Aurecon Ownership Board (AOB) and past Chairman of SAICE's Geotechnical Committee. He also participates as member of selected SANS Technical Committees and had been a member of the ISSMGE Board-level Innovation and Development Committee.
Eduard has published over 29 papers, industry articles and opinion pieces. He is the SAICE 2014 Engineer of the Year and a two-time recipient of the JE Jennings Award (2006, 2010), Cambridge Turner Prize (2005), Barry van Wyk Award (1998) and the DW de Vos Medal (1997).
