Exceeding Singapore’s standard building code requirements for environmental sustainability, Lend Lease chose a platinum Green Mark rating for the fit-out of its new Asian headquarters.
Aurecon provided ESD expertise and building services design to Lend Lease for the fit-out, with the principle objective of achieving a sustainable design outcome. HBO+EMTB was the interior designer for the facility. Lend Lease provided all design management, project management and construction services.
Energy efficient initiatives include a zoned air conditioning system, energy-efficient light fittings, motion sensors, daylight harvesting with lux level sensors near the façade, and an intelligent lighting control system.
To improve air quality, low volatile organic compound (VOC) paints were used and a multitude of potted plants were placed around the office.
Water saving features include efficient water fittings and leak detection systems.
Considerable efforts were made to use office furniture and carpets made of recycled materials.
Close collaboration between Aurecon, Lend Lease and HBO+EMTB ensured the successful delivery of the project.
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has given the building a Green Mark Platinum Award in the office interior category.
